Patient 1
Patient’s Chief Complaint: She was unhappy with the “aged look” of her dentition. She continues to experience chipping of her lower front teeth due to an inadequate overbite. She’s concerned about the continued wear damage to her teeth.
Treatment: Full mouth rejuvenation to achieve a stable jaw joint position from which to restore her dentition. Porcelain restorations were placed on the front teeth and the remaining teeth were treated with additive composite fillings.
Outcome: We were able to restore ideal functional health by adding the proper length and contour back to her teeth and creating an ideal amount of overbite. This restorative process creates a more healthy, youthful smile.
Patient 2
Patient’s Chief Complaint: This young man has a condition called Amelogenesis imperfecta, characterized by abnormal enamel formation and unusually small teeth that are discolored. Due to the small teeth size and misalignment, the patient has a very inefficient chewing process. The patient feels self-conscious about the appearance of his teeth/smile.
Treatment: All teeth were restored with porcelain crowns.
Outcome: Improved functional health and esthetics. We were able to increase the teeth size to close the open spaces and to provide healthy, functional guidance of his bite for more efficient chewing. He is now proud of his teeth and is smiling with confidence.
Patient 3
Patient’s Chief Complaint: She was unhappy with the appearance of her upper front teeth. She had several tooth-colored, composite fillings that had become discolored over the years and she felt that the crown on her lateral incisor never matched her real teeth. She stated that her teeth made her feel older than her age and she was reluctant to reveal her smile.
Treatment: The upper front 6 teeth were restored with porcelain crowns.
Outcome: Improved functional health and esthetics. In the process of preparing the teeth for crowns, her old fillings and her unsightlly crown were removed and we were able to create a homogenous appearance of the front teeth. She looks much younger and feels confident with her new smile.
